Cold-drawn hardened and tempered steel rod for extra strength—shocks are warranted for as long as you own your vehicle! Over uneven city streets or highway expansion strips, the VST® senses the "easy" piston travel and tailors the ride for greater comfort. No annoying thump caused by heavy belted tires and radials. During a hard ride the VST® senses the faster piston travel and instantly increases damping resistance. Rough road or no road? VST® "knows" it and provides the control needed. Huge 1-3/8" bore (1-3/16" piston on applications with limited clearance) plus the 60% more fluid and gas capacity than conventional heavy-duty shocks means they run cooler to provide easier handling and greater stability. Additional features include huge 1-3/8" piston; 90% more working area than 1" shocks; 1/3 more working area than most heavy-duty shocks; bigger working area means shocks last far longer; larger working area also ensures shocks will control vehicle motion better and with far less internal working pressure.
